BMI Congratulates Its Winning Songwriters at the 2021 Premio Lo Nuestro

BMI once again salutes its accomplished affiliates who were singled out for recognition during Univision’s 33rd edition of Premio Lo Nuestro, held Thursday evening at the American Airlines Arena in Miami. Hosted by Chiquinquirá Delgado, Jose Ron and Yuri, this year’s ceremony found several of BMI’s Latin songwriters like Karol G, Lenin Ramirez, Anuel AA, J Balvin and others receiving awards for their incomparable music from the past year. In addition to the accolades below, a special Excellence Award was given to Wisin, and a Lifetime Achievement Award was bestowed to Gloria Trevi. Both artists performed a few of their hits before accepting their awards.

Among the evening’s other performances, highlights included “El Cambio” by Chesca with Grupo Firme, “RD” and “Antes” by Anuel AA and Ozuna, “Vacio” by Luis Fonsi and Rauw Alejandro, “Tan Enamorados” by CNCO with Ricardo Montaner. Montaner was also joined by members of his family, Mau y Ricky*, Evaluna, and Camilo*, for a stirring rendition of “Amen.”
