BMI Writers Dominate Nominations for Billboard Latin Music Awards 2016
BMI is very proud to announce that, once again, a majority of the nominees for 2016’s Billboard Latin Music Awards are BMI affiliates. Both Ariel Camacho Y Los Plebes del Rancho and Banda Clave Nueva de Max Peraza were nominated New Artist of the Year, while J Balvin is in the running for Hot Latin Song of the Year for “Ginza.” Ricky Martin’s A Quien Quiera Esuchar is up for Top Latin Album of the Year, while Pitbull received a Tour of the Year nod. For Social Artist of the Year, both the formidable talents of Prince Royce and Shakira have been nominated.
The event will air live from Miami on the Telemundo network on April 28 as part of the Billboard Latin Music Conference, which runs from April 25-28 at the Ritz Carlton in Miami Beach.
