BMI Songwriters Make Strong Showing as Nominees for 2021 Billboard Latin Music Awards
BMI is once again exceptionally proud of its many talented Latin songwriters who were singled out for their creative work as nominees for this year’s Billboard Latin Music Awards. As has so often been the case, BMI’s affiliates made a strong showing across multiple categories, with J Balvin receiving nine nominations, and Karol G, Anuel AA and Black Eyed Peas each receiving eight, the latter band earning nods for their Latin-centric Translation, a formidable crossover album. The coveted Songwriter of The Year Award, meanwhile, finds BMI writers Anuel AA, Edgar Barrera, J Balvin and Tainy all vying for the honor.
The event will air live from the Watsco Center in Miami on the Telemundo network on September 23.
