BMI is once again exceptionally proud of its many songwriters and producers nominated for premier industry accolades at the upcoming 2021 Latin GRAMMY Awards. These innovative music creators are continuing the lead the way with their chart-topping work across the wide spectrum of Latin music. Among the names nominated for multiple awards, songwriter/producer Edgar Barrera is up for eight, including Record of The Year, Producer of The Year, Album of The Year, and two each for Best Regional Song and Song of The Year. BMI singer/songwriter/producer Juan Luis Guerra received six nominations, the most the Dominican 20-time Latin GRAMMY-winner has ever received in a single year, including nods for Record of the Year and Album of the Year. Colombian rock ensemble Diamante Eléctrico received four for Record of The Year, Song of The Year, Best Pop/Rock Album and Best Pop Rock Song. Rauw Alejandro, meanwhile, received nominations for Record of The Year, Song of The Year, and Best Urban/Fusion Performance. Puerto Rican songwriter/producer Tainy also had multiple nods for Album of the Year, Song of The Year and two for Best Urban Song. Versatile Chilean singer/songwriter Mon Laferte received four noms for Song of The Year, Best Regional Song, Best Pop Song and Best Singer/Songwriter Album. On the reggaeton front, Karol G continues her streak with a nomination for Best Reggaeton Performance. Other notable women nominated for recognition include Venezuelan singer/songwriter Nella for Song of the Year, Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album, and Best Pop Album, Spanish singer/songwriter Beatriz Luengo for Song of the year and Best Urban Song, and regional Mexican songwriter Erika Vidrio for Best Regional Song.

The 22nd Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on November 18 at 8pm, and will be broadcast live on Univision.
