BMI Congratulates its 2020 Latin GRAMMY Award Nominees

BMI is once again very proud of its songwriters who made a strong showing as nominees of the 21st Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards. In a period marked by hardship, BMI’s groundbreaking Latin songwriters have continued to push the envelope and create innovative and impactful songs in all styles of Latin music.

Several BMI songwriters received multiple nominations. Notably, J Balvin received two nods each for Record of The Year, Album of The Year, Best Urban Fusion Performance and Best Reggaeton Performance, as well as further nominations for Best Urban Music Album Best Rap/HIp-Hop Song, Best Urban Song and Best Short-Form Music Video. Similarly, Anuel AA has been nominated for Record of The Year, Best New Artist, Best Urban Fusion Performance, Best Urban Music Album, Best Urban Song, and also received two nods for Best Rap/Hip-Hop Song. Ozuna is up for Record of The Year, Best Urban Music Album and two nods each for Best Reggaeton Performance, Best Urban Fusion Performance and Best Urban Song. Karol G has two songs nominated for Record of The Year, as well as nods for Song of The Year and Best Urban Fusion Performance. Tainy’s work has earned him two separate nominations in the Album of The Year category, as well as nods for Best Urban Song and Record of The Year.

The 21st Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards will be held remotely on Thursday, November 19, 2020, and will be broadcast on Univision.
