Best of Indie 2015: Avid Dancer
Back in June, BMI’s Indie Spotlight extolled the merits of the original, kaleidoscopic pop of Avid Dancer, and the driving thirst for new sounds that fuels the man behind its music, Jacob Dillan Summers. In the ensuing months, “All the Other Girls” from Avid Dancer’s I Want to See You Dance EP was featured in the June premiere of ABC’s series Stitchers, while Summers released a brand new track, “I Feel It,” on August 29. In subsequent months, Avid Dancer was brought to life onstage at the TBD Festival in Sacramento and the Santa Monica Pier Twilight Concert Series in September, prior to mounting a 20-date tour in October and November with BORNS.
