Mitre’s self-titled album was met with fanfare as BMI feted its release at the Gibson Brands showroom in Beverly Hills, California, on December 16, 2014. Hailing from Mexico City, the singer-songwriter-producer’s signature sound is a blend of atmospheric tunes, including tango, pop, world and Mexican music. The event kicked off with opening remarks from BMI VP Writer/Publisher Relations, Latin Music, Delia Orjuela, who welcomed attendees and encouraged the audience to settle in for a phenomenal performance from the burgeoning artist. During his stellar showcase, Mitre introduced BMI singer-songwriter Ximena Muñoz, who accompanied him on “Salto Sin Red.” For his rendition of “Casi Un Recuerdo,” he was joined by BMI singer-songwriter Irene Diaz.
