Indie Spotlight: Sol Cat

Posted in News on January 30, 2014

The Sol Cat experience is surely a varied one. Sometimes you will find the Nashville-based six piece indulging in deep, psychedelic 1960s-indebted grooves, and at other times they will be inciting a full-on dance party with lyrics demanding a sing-along. What remains consistent, though, is the ability of Sol Cat’s music to take the listener to another world, a world of lush beats and hypnotizing melodies. The group had a massive year in 2013 - releasing  both full length album Sol Cat and the Welcome To Cowabunga EP, recording a Daytrotter session, making a strong showing at CMJ and touring the south with fellow Nashville residents The Weeks - and is well-positioned for an even bigger 2014.
