Using his unique upbringing and soulful lyrics, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Colyer is creating a sound all his own. Born in the South, raised in the Midwest, and now residing in Los Angeles, Colyer’s multifaceted perspective on life shines through in his old school flares, fresh grooves, and vibrant songwriting.
As music website Hillydilly wrote about Colyer, “You’ll want to get familiar.” That’s exactly what fans have done by giving two of his singles—“Lost in Your Love” and “Out For You”—more than a million Spotify streams each. He has been featured on the Spotify New Indie Mix playlist and released an EP called Beachwood Dr in October 2018. Of its standout track, “Logout,” the blog Pretty Vacant One said, “One listen and you are hooked.” Commenting on his EP, Colyer himself said, “If I died tomorrow, I want to be remembered for these four songs.”
His plans for 2019 include building on the momentum he gained in 2018. “There’s plenty more shows, stories, and songs to come,” he said to his Facebook followers at the end of last year. “I have a ton of new songs for 2019, so here I go, up the glass elevator and out the ceiling. See you on the other side.”
