BMI was proud to sponsor Chris Difford’s Songwriting Retreat. Held at the stunning Pennard House in the English countryside of Somerset and co-hosted by legendary songwriter and Squeeze co-founder Chris Difford, and Tracy McKnight, BMI’s VP of Film, TV, and Visual media, this prestigious songwriting program brings together both established and emerging talents in an atmosphere of collaboration and songcraft. After the four-day workshop, the retreat then culminated with a concert on the final evening to showcase the music written during the event. BMI affiliates that participated this year included composers Dominic Lewis, Jessica Rose Weiss, and Joe Wong, and recording artists/ songwriters Jamie Hartman, Happy Sometimes, Scout Willis, Steve Smith,  and Chris Difford himself.
