CMJ Performers Profiled in BMI’s October Indie Update
BMI’s newest batch of indie head-turners are set to perform at the CMJ Music Marathon & Film Festival October 19-23, 2010 in New York City. From razor-sharp electric-pop to soulful singer/songwriters, this month’s selection reflects the restless innovation of today’s independent musicians. Profiles include Bad Rabbits, Debutaunts, Deluka, Heypenny, Lesands, LexiconDon, The Kicks, Vanaprasta, White Belt Yellow Tag, Whale Tooth, All Get Out and Alex Winston, as well as king-maker CMJ itself.
BMI will present a seven-deep lineup Wednesday, October 20 at Bar Matchless (557 Manhattan Avenue, Brooklyn, NY) during CMJ. Entry is free for CMJ badge holders, while the cost for non-registered CMJ attendees is $5. The music starts at 7 p.m., with an open bar from 6-7 p.m.
