With this year’s double Emmy nomination and BAFTA win for his music on Showtime’s Penny Dreadful, the audience at the Society of Composers and Lyricists’ August 18 screening of the hit show’s episode “Closer Than Sisters” was eager to hear Abel Korzeniowski talk about his work. Moderated by Steve Chagollan, Senior Editor for Variety, the discussion focused on how and why Korzeniowski’s passionate, evocative and lurid tracks thrill audiences and elevate the tone of the show’s Victorian fantasy world.
