BMI Congratulates its 2025 GRAMMY Winners

The 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards was a ceremony like no other, as the industry came together at the Crypto.com Area, not only to celebrate music’s biggest night, but also as a show of love and support as the city of Los Angeles begins its recovery from the recent wildfires. The event was full of heartfelt tributes to the resilience of its many communities, residents and businesses affected by this tragedy. The tone resonated throughout the evening in many of the performances and acceptance speeches.
BMI was tremendously proud of our many affiliates who took the stage, both as performers and honorees. Los Angeles’ own Kendrick Lamar was the notable multiple-winner of the evening, taking home Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song and Best Music Video for “Not Like Us.” Sabrina Carpenter received two trophies, including Best Pop Solo Performance for “Espresso” and Best Pop Vocal Album for Short n’ Sweet. CeCe Winans also received two awards for Best Gospel Album for More Than This and Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for “That’s My King.” Special Merit Awards were also given to Frankie Beverly, gospel singer Dr. Bobby Jones and blues musician Taj Mahal.
Beyond the accolades, it was a truly remarkable evening of live music, featuring show-stopping performances by Sabrina Carpenter, Benson Boone, Teddy Swims, RAYE, Lady Gaga and an electrifying performance by Doechii that brought the house down.
