Last night, the Society of Composers & Lyricists celebrated their 2nd Annual SCL Awards, paying homage to composers and songwriters across all visual media. The takers of trophies in three out of the five award categories were BMI composers: Atticus Ross, who captured Outstanding Original Score for a Studio Film for his music to Soul, Lolita Ritmanis who took the Outstanding Score Award for an Independent Film with Blizzard of Souls (Dvēseļu Putenis), and Carlos Rafael Rivera, whose score to The Queen’s Gambit won for Outstanding Original Score for a Television Production. In addition, BMI Icon Terence Blanchard was honored with a Spirit of Collaboration Award for his incredible work with Spike Lee.

Congratulations to all; your work deserves it!
