International Songwriting Competition

The International Songwriting Competition (ISC) has extended the registration deadline to November 4, 2020. Don’t miss the opportunity to have your songs heard by industry execs and celebrity judges like Bebe Rexha, Cam, Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park, Tanya Tucker, and many more. ISC gives away over $150,000 in cash and prizes. Previous winners include R.LUM.R, Tones and I, Caamp, Tommy Castro, Vance Joy, Skrizzly Adams, Illenium, The Band Perry, Gotye, Jump Little Children, Shunzo Ohno, Omar Sosa, Jeremy Gaynor, Jon Samson, and others. American Songwriter Lyric Contest

The American Songwriter Amateur Lyric Contest takes place six (6) times per year in conjunction with each print issue of American Songwriter (established in 1984). 

Fee: $15 per lyric entry.
Who: Contest is open to amateur songwriters in all countries.
Bi-Monthly Prizes: First place winner receives a Paul Reed Smith guitar and a Sennheiser microphone, and a one-page Q&A in the magazine. Top 4 lyrics are printed in the magazine. Ten honorable mentions are listed in the magazine (name, hometown, song title).

Yearly Grand Prize: Each bi-monthly winner is re-considered as a group for the annual Grand Prize. Winner receives a round-trip flight to Nashville for a “Dream Co-write” with a renowned songwriter, a studio recording session, and a comfortable stay at a world-class Nashville hotel.

John Lennon Songwriting Contest

The John Lennon Songwriting Contest is an international songwriting contest launched in 1997.

Who: Contest is open to amateur and professional songwriters in any one of 12 categories.
Prize: Prizes are awarded for different levels of achievement, such as Finalist, Grand Prize, Lennon Award and Song of the Year.
