May 19, 2010 Nashville wrote its way to LA last night for the 58th annual BMI Pop Music Awards, staged at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Taylor Swift earned one of the evening’s top honors, winning BMI Pop Song of the Year for her crossover hit “Love Story.” At 20, Swift became the youngest songwriter ever to win the prize. Swift and co-writer Liz Rose also shared honors for “You Belong with Me,” which earned a BMI Pop Award as one of the 50 most-performed pop songs of the year.
