BMI longer prints and sends detailed royalty statements through the mail. But you can access them online by activating your Online Services account!

In addition, BMI's Online Services provides tax documents and much more, allowing you to manage all of your BMI transactions in one place which is safer, quicker and greener.

If you are not currently receiving payment via direct deposit, BMI will continue to mail your royalty checks.

Paperless Statement FAQs

Q. Will I still receive my paper check?
Yes, checks will continue to be mailed with the Current Earnings and Year-To-Date summaries.

Q. What if I have direct deposit, will I receive anything?
If you have an Online Services account or are a BMI Mobile user, you will receive an email and/or mobile notification when a new statement is available.

Q. Do I have to create an Online Services account?
No, if you do not wish to view your statement details or receive notifications you do not need to take any action at this time.

Q. What other benefits are there to an Online Services account?
Other than viewing statements, you can also elect direct deposit, view your catalog, register works, view tax documents, and keep your mailing and email addresses current.

Q. Do I need to keep my mailing address current if I do not receive a physical check?
Yes, it is important to keep your mailing address current for other types of BMI correspondence.

Q. Can I view my statements on my smartphone?
Yes, once you create your Online Services account online, you may download BMI Mobile at bmi.com/bmimobile and view statements from your iPhone, iPad, or Android mobile device.

Q. Will tax documents be paperless?
Hard copies will continue to be mailed as well as available through your Online Services account.

Q. Where can I view BMI’s distribution letter?
The distribution letter is available through your Online Services account.
