Xiaotian Shi takes 1st Prize at 2013 Transatlantyk Int’l Film Music Competition

Chosen among contestants from more than 28 countries, BMI composer Xiaotian Shi was awarded 1st prize at the Transatlantyk International Film Music Competition held recently in Poznan, Poland. The competition draws legendary and young artists, as well as representatives from all film and music professions, to create an artistic platform that focuses on building a stronger relationship between society, art and the environment through music and movies.

Shi was both the youngest finalist and prizewinner, as well as the first winner from the United Kingdom. For his win, he will receive $20,000 and scoring opportunities with leading directors in Los Angeles.
