The second phase of Broadcast Music, Inc.’s corporate positioning campaign featuring the slogan “Write On” has been unveiled at the Nashville airport in the form of a billboard ad featuring BMI legend Willie Nelson. Renowned rock and roll photographer Danny Clinch captured the poignant image of the country star. “Write On” is a slogan underscoring BMI’s commitment to our songwriters, as we encourage them to continue to do what they do best while BMI pledges to protect and promote the value of their music to businesses and organizations that play it publicly.
The first phase of the new branding campaign was rolled out during the international music industry conference in Cannes, France, in January 2013. The campaign includes two other slogans “Powered By” and “Valuing Music Since 1939.” “Powered By” is used to emphasize BMI’s commitment to empower our songwriters with cutting-edge mobile technology to access their BMI accounts, while also licensing businesses with an award-winning repertoire of music that continues to grow. ”Valuing Music Since 1939” underscores our rich heritage and history valuing music on behalf of songwriters and composers.
