Up and Coming BMI Writer is Featured Entertainment at Management Training Program for Women in Radio

BMI, in partnership with the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) and the Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio Group (MIW), presented the 7th annual Rising Through the Ranks, Women in Radio Management & Leadership Training Program in Nashville on August 27-28. Twenty female radio executives participated in the program as a result of scholarships provided by BMI.

The customized curriculum included practical and real world applications that participants of the course can immediately put to use in the workplace, including lessons on problem solving, budgeting and forecasting, managing team personalities, personal brand building, and other sales and management topics. The two-day seminar was highlighted by a special BMI-hosted dinner that featured a performance by up and coming Capitol recording artist and BMI songwriter Mickey Guyton. The Texas native, whose debut single releases to radio in January, recently performed on the same bill as Dierks Bentley, Kris Kristofferson, Darius Rucker and James Taylor during a nationally televised concert at the White House.
