Posted in News on September 17, 2015

BMI affiliates in Georgia and across the country will be pleased to learn that Senator Johnny Isakson (R-GA) is cosponsoring S. 662, the Songwriter Equity Act of 2015. The bill, reintroduced in March of this year by Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT) (@SenOrrinHatch), continues to gain momentum on the Hill, and Mr. Isakson’s support is welcome news. Senator Isakson is Chairman of both the Senate Select Committee on Ethics and the Senate Committee on Veteran’s Affairs. The Senator also serves on the Senate Committees on Finance, Foreign Relations, and Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, where he chairs the Subcommittee on Employment and Workplace Safety.
