Rep. Trent Franks Co-Sponsors Songwriter Equity Act

The Songwriter Equity Act gained another co-sponsor last week. Constitution and Civil Justice Subcommittee Chairman Trent Franks (R-AZ) has signed on as a co-sponsor in support of updating copyright laws to strengthen the rights of songwriters. Rep. Franks joins a growing list of bi-partisan SEA co-sponsors including Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Rep. Jim Gerlach (R-PA), Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) and Rep. Judy Chu (D-CA). Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA) is responsible for introducing the bill in Congress.
