Raves For BMI February ‘Pick’ Liam Finn

New Zealand’s Liam Finn was chosen by BMI as its featured performer at the Pick of the Month showcase, held February 19 at Hotel Café. The showcase proved to be the perfect platform for Finn, whose “debut solo album has the free-wheeling vibe of Paul McCartney’s early post-Beatles stuff, and with a tart twist of Kiwi fruit for the rest,” according to Harp magazine.

Finn’s debut, I’ll Be Lightning (Yep Roc), has won raves from critics and fans alike. In addition to a February 28 appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman and multiple performances at this year’s SXSW Music Festival, Finn has been hand-picked for the opening slot on Eddie Vedder’s upcoming west coast tour.
