NYU/BMI Scoring for Advertising Workshop Applications Open

Writing for advertising requires the composer to keep calm under the clock, and write creative, effective music in only a few hours. This crash-course workshop is led by the prolific Soundcat Productions founder Eric Hachikian (Marco Polo, When We First Met), and features panelists and presentations from top industry professionals from leading ad agencies such as Keith D’Arcy (SONGS Music Publishing), Karen Macmillan (Imagem/Concord Music), and Jay Wadley (Found Objects Music Productions). In three days, the NYU/BMI Music in Advertising Workshop will teach you how to:  

  • Write quickly and efficiently, under real-world conditions
  • Write effectively for advertising
  • Write ready-to-license production/library music
  •
