Indie Spotlight: Goldenspell
With four songs and two music videos released to the public in early 2011, Goldenspell is brand new to the community. Goldenspell is a labor of love, born in the small studio apartment of Eric Frank. After four years of touring the country playing lead guitar for a rock band, Frank decided the shimmering, saturated tones he’d been hearing in his head needed a home of their own. He spread all of his instruments on the floor one evening and set about building a sound that reflected everything he loved. Jangling waterfall synths, distorted bass lines, and West African percussion flesh out Frank’s emotional, up front, and sometimes playful songwriting.
