Indie Spotlight: Dirty Gold
San Diego-based Dirty Gold is Lincoln and John Ballif & Grant Nassif. Their music is inspired by the sounds of the 50‘s/60’s, world music, and drippy guitar lines. Lincoln is the lead guitarist/vocalist, John is the keyboardist/rhythm guitarist, and Grant is the drummer. The band signed to Autumn Tone Records in December, 2010, and has since been working on their upcoming EP. Playing with bands like TV Girl and Lesands, their live show has a youthful, friendly energy that gets crowds moving. With plans to play at SXSW and hopes of a summer tour, Dirty Gold are staring down a breakout year.
