Indie Spotlight: Fletcher

Posted in News on November 27, 2018

Originally hailing from Asbury Park, the rock capital of New Jersey, striking singer-songwriter Fletcher made a tremendous splash when her rousing pop track “War Paint” was essentially declared the anthem of the summer of 2015 via the Spotify Viral 50 Chart. The single became the #1 most socially shared track on Spotify in the U.S. for two consecutive weeks, and #3 across the world, earning nearly 22 million streams. After that auspicious opening statement, Fletcher unleashed the Finding Fletcher EP, which added “Wasted Youth” to her arsenal of provocative pop, racking up 3.3 million views on YouTube.

Her latest song, “I Believe You,” was released on International Woman’s Day in support of Time’s Up for Women’s History Month and has amassed 14.5 million streams on Spotify alone. She has secured a record deal with Capitol Records and was invited to perform on the BMI stage at Lollapalooza 2018. Additionally, in 2018, she opened for Bastille at their sold-out show at The Wiltern in LA, and performed at Life Is Beautiful, Bonnaroo, and Capitol Congress (where she debuted her next single, “Undrunk”). Fletcher’s latest project was finished in September and will be released soon.
