Emi Secrest Shares New Music at BMI Listening Event in Los Angeles
BMI was thrilled to host a listening event at Los Angele office, last week, with singer/songwriter Emi Secrest. Since her striking solo debut single, “Fearless” in 2014, Secrest has been garnering steady acclaim for her signature blend of vibrant, Southern soul music. Further singles like “Rollercoaster” in 2016, “Blue” in 2017 and her top 10 hit “Push Ya” in 2019 cemented her name as an artist to watch. She earned a GRAMMY Nomination alongside Cory Henry at the 66th GRAMMY Awards for Best Alternative Jazz Album for the album, Live at the Piano.
Emi Secrest came to our BMI offices for a special listening event for her latest full LP, Colors of Love, which dropped July 29 and is available on streaming services everywhere.
