Del Bryant Honored with Michael Bolton Charities Lifetime Achievement Award

BMI President & CEO Del Bryant received the Michael Bolton Charities Lifetime Achievement Award over the weekend at the Michael Bolton Charities and Dave Mason Benefit Concert and Celebrity Golf Classic. Held September 10 at the Ojai (Calif.) Valley Inn and Spa, the second annual installment of the event was a golf tournament by day, live auction, dinner, awards presentation and star-studded concert by night.

The lifetime achievement honor celebrates Bryant’s steadfast support of the Michael Bolton Charities. Under Bryant’s leadership, BMI has been a longtime friend of the organization, which provides relief and opportunity to children and women who are faced with poverty, homelessness and abuse. Since its inception in 1993, the Michael Bolton Charities has funneled $6 million in grants to various other organizations that perform life-saving work day in and day out.

Timeless troubadour Michael Bolton was an ideal host, delivering a scorching live performance that included selections from his 21st studio album, Gems. Several other members of the BMI songwriting family made special appearances at the event as well, including singer, songwriter and guitar prodigy Orianthi and acclaimed singer/songwriter Delta Goodrem. Portions of the evening’s proceeds will also benefit the Santa Barbara Community Food Bank, Yoga Blue and Work Vessels for Vets.
