BMI hosted its signature Rooftop On The Row series on Tuesday night, August 12, featuring Columbia Records’ Max McNown and Interscope Records/MCA Nashville’s Vincent Mason. BMI’s Mason Hunter introduced the performers to a crowd of more than 500 industry professionals who gathered to witness Country music’s most prominent artists on the rise. The final installment of this year’s BMI Rooftop On The Row series on September 9 will serve as the official kickoff to AMERICANAFEST and feature performances by Briscoe, The Droptines, and Ken Pomeroy.

DJ Smoke entertained before Georgia native Mason kicked off the night, showcasing his authentic storytelling with performances of “Train of Thought” and “Painkiller.” He continued to captivate the audience with his current single, “Damned If I Do,” co-written with Jacob Hackworth and Lauren Hungate, “Wish You Well,” and ended with his viral social media hit “Hell Is A Dance Floor,” which has amassed millions of streams.

Bringing his feel-good melodies and soulful songwriting to Music City, McNown launched into “Forever Ain’t Long Enough” from his latest album Night Diving (The Cost of Growing Up). Sharing the stage, singer-songwriter Avery Anna joined to surprise the crowd with a special rendition of “Turned Into Missing You.” He continued, engaging the crowd with “Love Me Back” and ended the night with streaming hits “Better Me For You (Brown Eyes)” and the GOLD-certified single “A Lot More Free,” which both continue to climb the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The series, presented by George Dickel Whisky, featured food, beverages and offerings from event sponsors George Dickel Whisky, Delta Air Lines, Fat Bottom Brewing Co., First Horizon, Gallagher Insurance, Red Bull Jukebox, Texas Roadhouse, White Claw, YETI, and Xperi. Over the years, the industry event has hosted artists such as Morgan Wallen, Billy Strings, The War And Treaty, HARDY, K. Michelle, Riley Green, Maddie & Tae, Mackenzie Carpenter and Dylan Marlowe.
