BMI’s Indie Spotlights: Spring 2024 Edition
Get ready to immerse yourself in the vibrant rhythms and stirring melodies of the next BMI Indie Spotlight, arriving this spring! Kicking it off with his expressive lyrics and larger-than-life arrangements, Livingston blurs the lines between reality and fiction through pristine storytelling. Next up is Brooklyn-based psychedelic rocker Walter The Producer with his refreshingly original and infectious sound. Teenage multi-instrumentalist Tish Melton follows, showcasing her vulnerable and incredibly relatable lyricism through an indie rock lens. The five-piece group wilt makes waves with their vibrant personalities and grunge rock meets lo-fi sounds, followed by indie group Hembree pioneering their own brand of contagious and danceable rock. From there, alt-pop artist Morgxn brings the energy with his bombastic pop sound accompanied by lyrics of unabashed self-assurance. Next up, Rett Madison wows with her powerful vocals, hauntingly honest lyrics, and infectious melodies. Blending sounds of 90’s Britpop with 2000’s NY rock benches celebrates the naivete of youth and the excitement of getting older. Self-taught multi-instrumentalist Matilda Marigolds rounds out the group with her nostalgic, genre-bending style and thought-provoking lyrics.
