BMI singer-songwriter George Ducas took the spotlight at the recent New Mexico Restaurant Association’s Hospitality Industry Awards Dinner in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Ducas, the writer behind country hits “Beer Run” (Garth Brooks & George Jones), “A Real Fine Place to Start” (Sara Evans) and “Just Call Me Lonesome” (Radney Foster), laid out a highly energized performance of these tunes and his own top ten “Lipstick Promises.”

Since 1946, the New Mexico Restaurant Association has actively represented and promoted the foodservice industry in New Mexico. The association was one of BMI’s initial industry partners. Their membership includes over 1000 restaurants from all corners of the state.
