BMI’s Assistant Vice President of Film/TV Relations, Ray Yee, brought together BMI executives, music supervisors, managers, record company and publishing executives for a day of golf with proceeds going to Education Through Music – Los Angeles on August 22. ETM–LA is an independent 501(c)(3) organization that partners with disadvantaged inner-city schools to provide and promote music. 17 teams competed at Braemar Country Club in Tarzana, CA and concluded the day with a barbecue at the club’s dining room, where Yee awarded the winning teams. Additionally, ETM–LA’s Executive Director, Victoria Lanier, spoke about the importance of music education and participants were treated to a special performance by David Hernandez, a student at Guardian Angel School in Pacoima, CA, which was officially adopted by the tournament participants from their donations.
