Creative flair and Latin flavor made for an exciting evening as Broadcast Music, Inc. presented its Noche Bohemia showcase at El Mariachi in Encino, Calif. The intimate event, held on Tuesday, October 21, 2014, brought together music industry executives and tastemakers who enjoyed an evening of music from BMI singer-songwriters Javier Sanroman, Jesus Omar Tarazon, Proyecto X, Jesus Mendoza aka “El Rayo” and Villa Kids. These budding talents have penned chart-topping hits and completed extensive tours with some of Latin music’s biggest stars.

The Villa Kids opened the showcase with a highly anticipated dynamic set. Tarazon wowed the audience with his performance, which included his renditions of “La Bala” (a current single with Los Tigres del Norte) and “La Calabaza” (made famous by La Arrolladora Banda El Limon). Compelling up-and-coming singer-songwriter El Rayo performed next and Proyecto X serenaded the crowd with songs from their album Con Pawer. Sanroman closed the showcase with a handful of his hits, including BMI Latin Song of the Year “A Ti Si Puedo Decirte” (its chart-topping version originally performed by El Chapo de Sinaloa). He also premiered his new single “Lo Que Perdiste.”
