BMI proudly sponsored the musical entertainment at the National Restaurant Association’s Restaurant Innovation Summit held recently (10/27) at the Westin Gaslamp in San Diego. The Summit brought together curious restaurant professionals and decision-makers from finance, marketing, IT, and operations to learn about the latest in technological advancements affecting their businesses. In keeping with the “cutting edge” theme, BMI brought in MTVu’s 2013 College Artist of the Year, “The Lonely Biscuits,” to perform at the closing reception and awards ceremony.  The up and coming Nashville-based band entertained the restaurateurs with their unique blend of soul, hip hop, funk and pop that has landed them gigs at such prestigious festivals as Austin City Limits, Lollapalooza, South by Southwest and Bonnaroo. Their debut full length album is scheduled to be released in 2016.
