BMI Hosts Creators Lounge Kickoff Luncheon at 2013 Northside Festival
BMI was proud to participate in the 2013 Northside Festival by hosting a Creators Lounge Kickoff Luncheon on June 13 at Mable’s Smokehouse in Brooklyn, New York. The event featured an interview and performance by BMI singer-songwriter and Beast Patrol band member, Vanessa Bley. Paolo De Gregorio, Editor-in-Chief of The Deli Magazine, conducted the fireside chat-style interview themed around BMI Live and the art of songwriting.
Since its inaugural run in the summer of 2009, Northside Festival has grown from a small DIY-affair to a full-fledged discovery festival, taking over 50-plus venues in the Williamsburg and Greenpoint areas of Brooklyn and featuring over 350 bands. Last year, the festival expanded from Music, Film and Art to include a two-day Entrepreneurship festival which features more than 40 lectures and educational sessions. The festival runs from June 13 through June 20.
