BMI Celebrates Writers of Tyler Farr’s #1 “Guy Walks Into a Bar”

Music industry executives gathered July 13, 2015, at Winners bar in Nashville to celebrate the writers of the #1 hit “Guy Walks into a Bar,” recorded by BMI affiliate Tyler Farr. Written by BMI songwriter Melissa Pierce, along with Johnathan Singleton and Brad Tursi, the song marked Farr’s third chart-topper and the first number one for Pierce, who has written for country superstars Carrie Underwood, LeAnn Rimes and Reba McEntire. Fans of Farr’s can catch him on tour through the summer and early fall, crisscrossing the United States with dates everywhere from Texas to Florida to California.
