BMI Celebrates Matraca Berg’s ‘The Dreaming Fields’

BMI hosted a VIP-filled reception to celebrate the release of Matraca Berg’s new album, The Dreaming Fields, on Tuesday, May 24. BMI’s writer/publisher lobby was transformed into an intimate listening space, where Berg bewitched an audience of peers and longtime supporters with a patently soulful set. The acclaimed CD marks the BMI award-winning hit writer’s welcome return to performing after a 14-year break.

The album is earning praise from lofty sources: During a recent interview, BMI Icon Kris Kristofferson said, ““I don’t listen to a lot of music at all anymore, but I just heard a great album that Matraca Berg did…She’s one of the best singer/songwriters now.”
