Two of BMI’s finest country songwriters made the trip down to Florida recently (1/31/14) to perform at a special preview showcase for the 1st Annual Island Hopper Songwriter Fest, which is presented by iHeart Radio, BMI & Clear Channel’s Cat Country 107.1 and is scheduled to take place over two weekends this fall in Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel Island. Nashville hitmakers Wynn Varble and Phil O’Donnell performed at the Zoom Tan Live Lounge inside the Clear Channel Media and Entertainment building in Fort Myers in front of community VIPs, station customers and potential festival sponsors. Varble and O’Donnell collectively have written # 1 songs for the likes of Brad Paisley, George Strait, Montgomery Gentry, Darryl Worley and Easton Corbin. The 1st Annual Island Hopper Songwriter Fest is scheduled to take place September 26-28 and October 3-5 in Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel Island.
