BMI brought The Voice to the annual meeting of the Maryland Retailers Association, held recently (9/19) in Aberdeen, MD at Ripken Stadium. BMI songwriter and season 10 of The Voice sensation, Joe Maye, dazzled the audience with his soulful style, songwriting and storytelling, not to mention his extraordinary vocal ability. The Maryland native gained national attention with his impromptu duet with Christina Aguilera on the NBC show, garnering more than 4.6 million views on YouTube. Maye has released 3 Eps with his most recent being the 7 song EP Sol, which came out earlier this year. The 2017 MRA meeting was attended by retail industry execs and owners from across the state. MRA is dedicated to the interests and progress of the retail industry, providing programs, advocacy and services to assist retailers in operating their stores.
