BMI Songwriters Tell Their Stories in “My #1 Moment” Video Series

Get a behind-the-curtain glimpse of your favorite hit songs from the writers who created them!

With music connecting us now more than ever, BMI, Taylor Guitars and Shure continue to partner on the popular social media video series, “My #1 Moment,” which captures intimate versions of BMI songwriters performing their No. 1 songs from their homes and sharing the stories behind the hits that took them to the top of the charts. Recorded using a Shure MV88+ Video kit and played on the writer’s commemorative Taylor 201e Deluxe guitar provided by Taylor to mark their career milestone, the series features a new episode each Wednesday at 10AM CT @TaylorGuitars on Instagram.

Writers who have already appeared in the “My #1 Moment” series include Ash Bowers – “Prayed For You,” Ben Burgess – “Whiskey Glasses,” Brad Clawson – “Up Down,” Derrick Southerland – “More Hearts Than Mine,” Devin Dawson – “God’s Country,” Drew Parker – “Homemade,” Michael Hardy – “Up Down,” Randy Montana – “Beer Never Broke My Heart,” Riley Green – “There Was This Girl,” Rob Williford – “One Number Away,” Russell Dickerson – “Yours,” and Scotty McCreery – “Five More Minutes.”

Writers who will appear in season 2 include: Nick Van Eede - “(I Just) Died In Your Arms,” Nate Mercereau - “If I Can’t Have You,” Ernest K. Smith - “Big, Big Plans,” David Hodges - TBD, Ruby Amanfu and Sam Ashworth - “Hard Place,” Brad Arnold - “Kryptonite,” Mitchy Collins - “Broken,” Sergio Vallín - “Bendita Tu Luz,” David Lee - “19 Somethin’,” and Ilsey Juber - “High Hopes.”
