Earlier this month, BMI songwriters Ed Roland of Collective Soul and Faye Webster took part in the grand opening of River Oaks Film Studios in Savannah, GA. River Oaks started out as a massive warehouse before the 20,000-square-foot space was transformed into a state-of-the-art sound stage. The overall project is designed to help grow the film industry in the region. GRAMMY-winner Roland and up-and-comer Webster, joined by pedal steel player Pistol Pete, showed up to support the endeavor with some great live music. BMI’s David Claassen was also on hand for the event.
