BMI Songwriter Joins Panel at Ohio Arts Professionals Conference

Award-winning BMI songwriter Jason White helped educate artists, agents, and venue executives on the intricacies of copyright law as it pertains to music licensing and public performances during the Ohio Arts Professionals Network (OAPN) annual conference held recently in Cleveland. The Ohio native joined the panel organized by BMI to share his perspective on the important role that performing rights organizations play in the music industry ecosystem. White then helped wrap up the session by performing “Red Ragtop,” the chart-topping song he wrote for country superstar Tim McGraw. The OAPN is a member-based organization whose mission is to support and grow the touring arts & culture industry in Ohio.
