In what has become an annual tradition, BMI partnered with the Texas Association of Broadcasters (TAB) and HD Radio to bring in Austin-based musician, singer and songwriter Jane Ellen Bryant to perform at the opening reception of TAB’s 66th annual convention held August 7. Bryant performed her new EP Let Me Be Lost, along with “Too Smooth,” “Take Me As I Am” and “All In My Head.” Bryant was the winner of “Best New Band” and “Best Female Vocalist” at this year’s Austin Music Awards. She will also be performing for the first time at the Austin City Limits Music Festival.

The TAB strives to promote and protect a favorable economic and regulatory climate for broadcasting, while educating members and the public at large about the opportunities available and advances possible through the efforts of free, over-the-air broadcast operations. The convention, which took place at the JW Marriott Austin, is the largest state broadcast association convention in the nation, with more than 1,400 annual attendees.
