BMI is pleased to announce its return to the Austin City Limits Music Festival on October 1-3 and 8-10, 2021. The multi-weekend Texas festival is back and BMI’s can’t-miss, genre-diverse lineup is set to feature a range of rising pop, rock, country, Latin, Americana, hip-hop and R&B stars.

“BMI is grateful for our continued partnership with C3 to provide a new generation of songwriters the opportunity to play at one of the most unique music events in the world,” says Clay Bradley, VP Creative, Nashville. “We’re always proud to develop up-and-coming talent and this year we’re happy to be back on festival grounds and showcase twenty-two incredible BMI acts.”

BMI will kick off its return to Zilker Park with mysterious grunge-rock band Bexley, followed by performances from Austin-based Latin GRAMMY nominee Gina Chavez, surf rock band Sun Room, Dominican-Italian X Factor star Yendry, and many more. Festivalgoers will not want to miss a highly-anticipated set from 2021 CMA New Artist of the Year nominee HARDY, who will wrap up Weekend One for BMI on Sunday night.

Weekend Two at the BMI Stage will see performances from a slew of Austin-locals, including Columbian funk band Superfónicos, DIY rapper The Teeta, and Americana singer-songwriter David Ramirez. Rising pop singer-songwriter Leyla Blue, Jack White-championed pop-rock band Mattiel, Spanish-Cuban pop star Samantha Sanchez, and many more will round out Weekend Two.

For nearly two decades, the BMI stage has had a hand in launching some of music’s biggest stars on the staple ACL stage, including memorable performances from Miranda Lambert (‘03), Alessia Cara (‘15), Luke Combs (‘16), City and Colour (‘08), Gary Clark, Jr. (‘11), Shakey Graves (‘13), Jon Pardi (‘11, ‘14), Catfish and the Bottlemen (‘14), lovelytheband (‘18), and Maren Morris (‘16), who went on to win a GRAMMY within a year of appearing on the BMI ACL stage.

This year’s BMI Lounge is sponsored by Austin Eastciders, High Brew Coffee, Patron, Tacodeli, Tito’s Vodka, Waterloo Sparkling Water, and WhistlePig Rye Whiskey.

BMI is proud to present and sponsor stages at C3 Presents’ music festivals: Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits Music Festival. Our partnership with these elite festivals is designed to offer more prime showcasing opportunities to our songwriters, a distinct priority of BMI.
