BMI hosted a private reception for a group of licensing customers and association partners recently (1/11) at the Mountain High Music Festival, a 3-day charity event presented by BMI songwriting icon Dean Dillon that takes place every year in Crested Butte, Colorado. This year’s line- up included BMI artists Jamey Johnson and Ashley Monroe, with a surprise appearance by GRAMMY award winning singer/musician Alison Krauss. In addition, award-winning Nashville hit makers Kendell Marvel, Sonia Leigh and Wendell Mobley told the stories behind their songs and performed the hits they have written for country stars such as the Zac Brown Band, Kenney Chesney, Rascal Flats, Gary Allan, Jake Owen and Blake Shelton.
