BMI Producer and DJ El Dusty Kicks Off IHRSA’s Annual Convention

BMI producer, DJ and nu-cumbia pioneer El Dusty helped kick-off the International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association’s (IHRSA) 41st annual show, performing at the welcome reception (06/22) in Miami, FL.  The event, which was held at the Miami Beach Convention Center, brought together more than 6,000 fitness leaders from around the world to share best practices to elevate their clubs. Hailing from Corpus Christi, El Dusty translates the Southern Texas border experience into new barrio anthems with every track on his just released first full-length album Cumbia City (via Universal’s Aftercluv imprint), featuring a cumbia sample.

BMI has been a proud member of IHRSA for thirty-four years. In 2009, IHRSA and BMI rolled out a discount program providing special savings for IHRSA members on their BMI fitness music license.
