The 11th annual Island Hopper Songwriter Fest, presented by BMI, iHeartRadio’s Cat Country 107.1, the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association and Fort Myers–Islands, Beaches and Neighborhoods, broke attendance records as music lovers from across the country made the trip down to Southwest Florida to attend the 10-day event that was voted by USA Today readers as the 4th best music festival in the US.

The festival, which took place in Captiva, Cape Coral, downtown Fort Myers, and Fort Myers Beach shined a spotlight on more than 60 BMI singer/songwriters who were featured in more than 80 performances in a variety of intimate venues, giving fans the opportunity to experience the voices and stories behind the songs.

The event provides BMI the opportunity to give back to the many restaurants, bars and hotels in SW Florida that support BMI songwriters through the licensing fees they pay. In addition to the songwriter in the round performances, the festival also featured concerts by multiplatinum artists and BMI songwriters LoCash and Chris Young.
