BMI Participates in KEXP’s “Mastering The Hustle” Panel in Seattle

On November 17, BMI’s Tracie Verlinde moderated a panel on songwriting for KEXP’s Mastering the Hustle series which helps local songwriters and artists navigate the music industry. Held at KEXP’s state-of-the-art auditorium, the panel featured BMI songwriters ParisAlexa and Hollis Wong-Wear of The Flavr Blue and producer and singer/songwriter Mndsgn. Verlinde kicked things off by introducing ParisAlexa as the keynote speaker to a packed house, followed by the panel discussion which focused on the art of songwriting and covered everything from how a PRO can help songwriters and how publishing works to the challenges they face in the industry. A Q&A and networking session closed out the afternoon where panelists got to mix and mingle with the nearly 200 attendees.
