The BMI/NYU 12-day TV workshop concluded another successful year, this time online. Led this year by BMI composers Sean Callery (24, Homeland), Blake Neely (Arrow, Riverdale) Peter Nashel (Book Club, I.Tonya, Iconoclasts), Lyle Workman (Good Boys, Superbad) and Chad Fischer (Scandal, Garden State), along with NYU’s Ron Sadoff and Mark Suozzo with BMI’s Doreen Ringer-Ross, the renowned program provided real-life experiences in composing for television. During the workshop, participants received professional instruction on how to streamline their creative process, create professional mock-ups and final mixes, and work within the confines of the TV work week. Participants also had their music critiqued by industry professionals and NYU’s acclaimed Scoring for Film and Multimedia faculty.
